Do I need a 3-phase connection?  

While a 3-phase connection can be of great benefit in some cases, a 1-phase connection is sufficient for most EV drivers who charge at home. 

However, if you plan to charge your EV often or quickly, or if you own an EV with a high-capacity battery, you may want to consider 3-phase charging. But it's important to weigh the benefits of faster charging against the extra cost and effort of upgrading to a 3-phase connection.
