Each charge point should have an option for ad-hoc charging sessions with a sticker that has an individual scannable QR code. For each individual charge point, an individual sticker is needed. These QR stickers are by default placed on all the charge points that Shell Recharge currently provides and can be made available for public charging. Please make sure to enable ad-hoc charging by making your charge point open for public charging and publish it on the map (you can change the settings in either your account.shellrecharge.com account or in the Business Hub).
For older charge points in the field that don't have this ad-hoc QR sticker yet, the following process can be used to request an ad-hoc charging sticker:
1. Please contact our customer support team to request a sticker.
2. Shell Recharge sends you a label with an individual QR code per charge point. You get a clear overview of which sticker is coupled to which charge point (differentiated by means of identification number / ID).
3. Adhere the stickers with the individual code to the respective charge points.
4. Ensure that your charge point is open for public charging and published on the map (you can change the settings in either your account.shellrecharge.com account or in the Business Hub)
5. EV drivers can, as usual, charge with their charge card. Electric motorists who do not have a charge card can scan the QR code with their smartphone, charge it ad-hoc and pay for it.
