There are two easy ways to activate and pay for your charging:

1.    Via the Shell App – You can set up your preferred payment method during the initial registration or later through your profile settings. Once set up, you can use the app to activate and pay for your charging sessions.
2.    Using a Shell EV Charge Card – If you prefer a backup option that doesn’t rely on your phone or a wireless connection, you can order a Shell EV Charge Card. This card can also be linked to your payment method for seamless use.

When you order your Shell EV Charge Card through the Shell App, you’ll be prompted to add your payment method during the ordering process. This means that once your card arrives and is activated, you’re all set — no need to enter payment details again. You can start charging your EV right away.

When you add a payment method, you’ll be asked to enter:
•    Your billing address
•    Your card’s CVV (security code)
•    Complete a 3D Secure (3DS) verification – this will prompt a £0 transaction. This is a standard verification step to ensure your card is valid. It’s expected and does not result in any charge.
